Definitions of Certification Statuses

Active

An API Monogram License or Certificate of Registration that is identified as active means that the licensee and/or registrant is in good standing with the API and the organization has successfully completed the required audits and has implemented and maintained a quality management system that conforms to the requirements

Applicant

The organization has submitted the applicable paperwork, payment and quality manual to API/APIQR.  Once their quality manual is reviewed and accepted by API, they are scheduled for an audit of their facility.

Cancelled

The API/APIQR has permanently revoked the rights of a facility to identify themselves as an API Monogram Licensee and/or identify the organization’s quality management system as registered with APIQR.

Expired

The organization was not able to complete their 1st annual, 2nd annual and recertification audit prior to the expiration date noted on their certification of registration.

Inactive

An organization has notified API that they have been affected by a disaster.

Suspended

The API/APIQR has temporarily revoked the rights of a licensee and/or registrant to identify themselves as an API Monogram Licensee and/or identify the organization’s quality management system as registered with APIQR.

Transitioned

The license or certificate of registration of the organization was transitioned to a new revision or version of a standard/specification. For example, an organization may have had an ISO 9001:2000 certification of registration.

Withdrawn

The organization has requested that their API Monogram License(s) and/or Certificate(s) of Registration no longer be active. It is also possible that API withdrew the standard or specification from the Monogram Program, thus no longer allowing certification or licensing to take place. Once withdrawn, a facility can no longer use the API Monogram or the withdrawn license number(s) on any product.
